In 1963 the marriage between the Barbero family and the Langhe began, when Secondino Barbero with his wife Maria Ottavia decided to purchase a "Cascina", a house located in a "Fonda", that is, in a hilly area sheltered from the wind, because it was built in the belly of the hill. Secondino and his wife cultivated six hectares of hazelnuts, corn, wheat, vegetables and alfalfa, both for the sale of the products and for their own livelihood. At the time, in the countryside, people fed on what they produced.
Only one hectare was dedicated to the vineyard. Over the years, Secondino converted more and more hectares into vineyards, a process that continued when, in 1988, his sons Marco and Massimo succeeded him at the helm of the company and in 1991 brought the company at its current size. A total of 11 hectares of high quality vineyard between the municipalities of Neive and Mango. Marco and Massimo will build in 2002, designed by the architect De Maria from Alba, a new functional and elegant cellar, designed and built to make wine, but through architectural concepts of functionality and innovation.

Brachetto Doc Bel Roseto sparkling wine from the Cascina Fonda winery, uses Brachetto grapes, carries out red vinification, destemming of the grapes, maceration and fermentation with the skins at a controlled temperature for a few hours (36/48) at around 16°C and subsequent pressing. The second fermentation takes place in an autoclave for secondary fermentation (until an overpressure of 4 bar is reached) at a controlled temperature for 20 days at around 16° C. At the end of fermentation, stabilization with refrigeration at -4° C, then microfiltration and subsequent bottling. Bottle refinement for a few weeks

Brachetto Doc Bel Roseto sparkling wine from the Cascina Fonda winery is a ruby ​​red sparkling wine with pink hues, on the nose the aromas are characterized by fruity aromas, raspberries, cherries and spices with floral notes, the taste is sweet and with light savory notes.
