The Kurtatsch Winery is one of the most prestigious wineries in Alto Adige. Founded in 1900, it unites approximately 190 winemaking families who cultivate their vineyards according to principles of sustainability and respect for the terroir. Thanks to a unique viticultural heritage, located between 220 and 900 meters above sea level, it produces wines that faithfully express the characteristics of the different plots and the Cortaccia terroir.

Sontaler Alto Adige Schiava DOC Alte Reben is made from a selection of the winery's oldest vineyards. It is made from various Schiava biotypes grown on sandy-loam soils rich in dolomite, porphyry, and clay minerals. Vinification takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation and aging in concrete tanks, preserving the purity of the fruit and the varietal identity of the wine.

Brilliant ruby ​​red in color, the nose expresses a refined bouquet with notes of raspberry, wild strawberry, cherry, and redcurrant. On the palate, it stands out for its elegance, freshness, and pleasant smoothness, supported by fine, well-integrated tannins that lead to a long, harmonious finish. It pairs perfectly with typical South Tyrolean cured meats, speck, white meats, poultry, medium-aged cheeses, flavorful fish dishes, and traditional appetizers.
