Hills of Mazzon in Alto Adige in the wine-producing area cradle of Pinot Noir, locally called Blauburgunder. Here since 1999, Kurt and Johanna Rottensteiner have made the 200-year-old estate a winery that produces excellent bottles, respecting their traditions and enhancing their fruits. The goal is to produce fine wines by enhancing the "terroir", thanks to a favorable climate and rich soil, according to an ecological agriculture in total harmony with the landscape that tell sip by sip.

The Pinot Nero Riserva Mazzon enjoys a clay-sandy soil, the afternoon sun and the Ora del Garda (Garda Time), climatic conditions that outline its great personality. The grapes are carefully picked and selected, and then fermented in wooden vats in contact with the lees for at least 15 days. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine is left to rest for a year in 500-liter oak barrels. Aging takes place in the bottle into the cellar for another year, after which it is ready to be marketed.
