After more than 20 years from its birth, the Baglio di Pianetto winery is a consolidated reality of Sicilian enology thanks to the passionate entrepreneurial activity of Count Paolo Marzotto and his family. The basic philosophy is the continuous research between tradition and innovation, with meticulous care for the raw material of excellence and respect for nature and the surrounding environment, aware that good wine is born in the vineyard rather than in the cellar. And it is thus that in the countryside of Palermo and in the Val di Noto, in two completely different and in some ways complementary terroirs, about 160 hectares of vines converted to organic are cultivated, which first conquered the Sicilian drinkers and then the rest of the world. The production of Baglio di Pianetto is directed for 50% abroad between the United States, Japan, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Russia, France, Norway, Czech Republic, Canada and is being consolidated in many other countries, thanks to the most genuine and authentic expression of the land of Sicily.

Nero d'Avola Baglio di Pianetto is an organic wine, grown on a 5 and a half hectare vineyard, with 5000 plants per hectare, on a medium-textured soil tending to clayey and calcareous, with the espalier method, and harvested manually in September. After a careful selection of the grapes, we proceed with the vinification, de-stemming and pressing them softly. Maceration takes place in steel silos at controlled temperatures, with continuous pumping over and delestages, and then malolactic fermentation. then follows the refinement, again in steel silos, for 14 months and, finally, the wine is left to rest in the bottle for at least 3 months.

Nero d'Avola Baglio di Pianetto has a deep ruby ​​red with pleasant violet reflections. The nose is intense and enveloping, with notes of currant, wild strawberry and pomegranate. On the palate the freshness, minerality and softness of its tannins are enhanced in a complex of balance that gives the wine sensations of pleasantness and length on the palate.
