In a unique and inimitable terroir, at 400 m. above sea level, in the heart of Sicily, are the 75 hectares of vineyards owned by the Milazzo family, where the climatic characteristics of the hill and the morphology of the land combine with the beneficial influences of a typically Mediterranean climate, with mild summers and mild winters; a constant and light breeze, which favors the day-night temperature range and good ventilation of the plant. A territory characterized by a particular concentration of morphologically varied soils: from dark clays integrated by organic matter to white calcareous ones; some endowed with a constant and homogeneous fertility, the others ideal for guaranteeing rich and complex aromatic profiles to the wines. With a history that spans five generations and continues in the name of the enhancement of the company tradition, thanks to the commitment of Giuseppina Milazzo and Saverio Lo Leggio, united in the desire to give continuity to the virtuous evolution of the family business, the most interesting aspect of the way of "making wine" is represented by tireless work in the vineyard. The natural improvement of the vines is the result of a technical path that has been going on for over fifty years, which made them the first producers of sparkling wines with the classic method in the land of Sicily, and the first Sicilian winemakers, between the end of the seventies and the beginning of the eighties, to enhance the vinification from Sicilian indigenous vines. Milazzo Classico Brut G.Milazzo is a wine that preserves freshness, elegance and aromatic vein. The grapes, raised with a tent and Guyot training system, were harvested from Milici and Munti vineyards over 15 years old, on a soil for the Milici of marly origin, with a high clayey component, strongly calcareous, rich in skeleton and for the An organic and rather deep clayey soil is milked, in the first half of August for the Chardonnay and the first half of September for the Inzolia, from over 5600 vines per hectare, manually, in 14kg crates. The grapes are pressed in whole bunches, undergoing a fermentation at a controlled temperature and refinement of the sparkling wine bases in steel. The cuvée, with the addition of the "liqueur de tirage", is started with the second fermentation. The bottles were placed in stacks where they remained on the lees for at least 24 months.
