The history of the Ca' del Bosco winery has the imaginative quality of a fairytale, a dream come true amidst enlightened visions that transcend reality. It all began in the mid-1960s when Annamaria Clementi Zanella purchased a hilltop house in Erbusco, in the heart of Franciacorta, nestled in a chestnut grove and known locally as "Ca' del Bosc." It was here that her young son Maurizio was struck by the passion for wine when his mother planted her first vineyard. A love at first sight that blossomed in the Champagne region, where what began as an ethereal dream became a clear and vivid vision. Returning to his woodland in the Brescia area in the early 1970s, he created what would become one of the most modern and advanced Italian wineries, credited with being the first to fully express the great oenological potential of a land dedicated to wine.

The Cuvée Prestige Edizione 47 embodies the essence of Franciacorta's diverse spirit, an expression of diverse terroirs reflecting the unique heritage of the Ca' del Bosco vineyards, the highest in the region, the fruit of years of hard work. Meticulous care is taken over every single soil, following organic farming principles and enhancing its rich biodiversity. The grapes used for Edizione 47 are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc, mostly from the 2017 harvest, characterized by low yields and excellent quality, with reserve wines from the 2014, 2015, and 2016 vintages. The harvest is strictly by hand, with careful selection of the bunches that will benefit from the "berry spa," a complex washing and hydromassage system using soaking tanks and drying tunnels. After pressing in the absence of oxygen, the musts for the base wines ferment in stainless steel at a controlled temperature until March, and are aged for a further seven months, during which the clarification phases take place and the maturation process brings out the best of the individual vineyards' character. This is followed by the magical ritual of creating the cuvée, followed by two years of aging on the lees, followed by disgorgement in the absence of oxygen, according to a Ca' del Bosco patent. At the end of the process, each bottle is uniquely marked to guarantee its uniqueness and traceability.

The result is a wine with extraordinary aromatic breadth and a pleasantly fresh, balanced flavor.
