The Cuvée Prestige Edition 44 is the forty-fourth interpretation of the multivintage Ca 'del Bosco, which every year offers the thousand nuances of Franciacorta in this special label. The Cuvée Prestige Edition 44 expresses the great personality of 139 different wines, coming from 141 vine parcels and from 4 different vintages of the prestigious reserve wines of the Ca 'del Bosco collection.
The history of the Ca 'del Bosco winery has the fanciful connotations of the fairy tale, of a dream that is realized between illuminated visions that go beyond reality. It all began in the mid-1960s when Annamaria Clementi Zanella purchased a house in the hills in Erbusco in the heart of Franciacorta surrounded by a chestnut grove and locally called "Ca 'del bosc". It's here that his young son Maurizio was struck on the wine route when his mother planted the first vineyard. A love at first sight that continues in the Cahmpagne region where what was initially an ethereal dream becomes a clear vision, and returned to its wood in the Brescia area at the beginning of the 70s, giving life to what will be one of the most modern and advanced Italian wineries, to whom credit goes to having been able to fully express the great wine potential of a land dedicated to wine.
The Cuvée Prestige Edition 44 is the essence of the variety of souls of Franciacorta, an expression of different terroirs but corresponding to the unique heritage of the Ca 'del Bosco vineyards, the highest in the region, the result of years and years of hard work. An obsessive care of every single soil according to the dictates of organic agriculture, enhancing its great biodiversity. The grapes at the base of Edition 43 are of the Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco varieties for most of the 2017 harvest, characterized by low yield and excellent quality, with reserve wines from the 2014, 2015 and 2016 vintages. hand, with selection of the bunches that will benefit from the "spa of grapes", a complex washing and hydromassage system by means of soaking tubs and drying tunnels. After pressing in the absence of oxygen, the musts of the base wines ferment in steel at a controlled temperature until March, and refine for a further 7 months during which the clarification phases follow one another and the maturation expresses the best of the character of the individual vineyards. This is followed by the magical rite of creating the cuvée, and 2 years of aging on the lees with subsequent degorgement in the absence of oxygen according to a patent by Ca 'del Bosco. At the end of the process, each bottle is uniquely marked to guarantee its uniqueness and traceability.
The result is a wine with an extraordinary aromatic fullness and a pleasantly fresh balanced taste.
