The Venica & Venica winery has its roots in 1930 and has consolidated itself as a reality that well interprets the synthesis between tradition and innovation. Located in the heart of Collio, in the hills between Udine and Gorizia, land of Ribolla Gialla, it is strictly family-run and stands out for its eco-sustainable vocation, for its great commitment to maintaining the integrity of the land and protecting biodiversity. All the vineyards are managed and designed with Biodynamic Agriculture, and in 2011 the company joined V.I.V.A. SUSTAINABLE WINE - Evaluation of the impact of Viticulture on the Environment - national pilot project launched by the Ministry of the Environment in collaboration with nine companies and three research centers for sustainable wine "Made in Italy". The project measures the sustainability performance of the vine-wine supply chain, starting from the calculation of water and carbon footprints (Water and Carbon footprint).

The Sauvignon Ronco delle Mele Collio DOC from the Venica & Venica winery comes from a single, north-west facing vineyard which looks towards the Alpi Giulie mountains and the Monte Canin glacier, with a cool microclimate which allows for long, slow ripening and the heightening of the character of the grape variety. The grapes are picked and then macerated for approximately 20 hours at a temperature of 11°-12° C. Subsequently 20% of the must fermented and aged on the lees for six months in 20hl and 27hl oak barrels and the rest in stainless steel vats. The wine was then assembled and bottled during the full moons at the end of March and May. Intense straw yellow color, with a fresh and full-bodied taste, that's the result of a determined and successful aspiration in producing an impeccable wine for precision and stylistic rigor.
