Sergio Zenato founded his winery in 1960 on the Veneto side south of Lake Garda, in the lands of Lugana and Valpolicella, devoting himself with passion and great spirit of enterprise to the cultivation of native vines such as Trebbiano di Lugana and the renowned Corvina, Rondinella and Osoleta. Thanks to new winemaking techniques and a strong bond with the territory, today the Zenato company, led by his sons and his wife, extends for 75 hectares between the S. Cristina Estate in San Benedetto di Lugana and the Costalunga Estate in Valpolicella, and exports high quality wines such as the famous Amarone Zenato, in 60 countries of the world, synonymous with excellence and dedication to the territory.

Alanera Zenato is mainly produced with Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinone grapes depicted on the label by the three swallows circling joyfully in the skies of the Costalunga vineyard, an important vineyard in terms of location and grape quality. The vines rest on a calcareous moraine soil, rich in skeleton with a presence of clay from the hilly area of Sant'ambrogio di Valpolicella at an altitude of 300/350 above sea level. The harvest takes place rigorously by hand and after a careful selection of the grapes they remain in the loft to rest for about 2/3 months at the end of which we proceed with the pressing and a 12-day maceration; finally the wine is enriched by aging in oak barrels for a minimum of 12 months.

Alanera Zenato has a deep ruby red with a complex nose of ripe and dried fruit of cherries and then spices such as tobacco and coffee. full and savory on the palate with a fine and elegant texture of tannins that help the finish in the sensation.
