Emilio Primo Bianco

For generations, the Fuselli family has carried on the philosophy of Terre del Marchesato, a winery that authentically embodies the Bolgheri tradition. With Papeo, Maurizio wanted to celebrate a place from his childhood: Poggio Papeo, a hill between Bolgheri and Monteverdi where, as a boy, he accompanied his grandfather Emilio to collect firewood. This emotional bond has now been translated into a wine that symbolizes their roots.

The wine is made with Vermentino vines trained using the single spurred cordon system. The grapes ferment in stainless steel vats, and the wine is also aged in stainless steel to preserve its freshness, aromatic purity, and smoothness. Careful vinification results in a crystalline, limpid, and vibrant white wine, with aromatic notes that fully reflect the Bolgheri terroir and its proximity to the sea.

Intense, crystalline, and brilliant straw yellow color. A floral bouquet of acacia, lemon blossom, and elderberry, with hints of white peach, sweet almond, and hazelnut. Light minerality and citrus accents of lime on the finish. A smooth entry, linear, fresh, and well-balanced flavor. Pleasant and easy to drink. Ideal as an aperitif, with fish dishes, delicate first courses, or vegetable-based dishes.
