Papeo Bolgheri Bianco

For generations, the Fuselli family has carried on the philosophy of Terre del Marchesato, a winery that authentically embodies the Bolgheri tradition. With Papeo, Maurizio wanted to celebrate a place from his childhood: Poggio Papeo, a hill between Bolgheri and Monteverdi where, as a boy, he accompanied his grandfather Emilio to collect firewood. This emotional bond has now translated into a wine that symbolizes their roots.

Papeo is made from Vermentino grapes vinified as a red: the grapes are left to macerate on the skins for a long time and then aged in barriques, a technique that gives it structure, fullness, and a creamy texture. Introduced in 2006 as an IGT Toscana, thanks to the maturity of the vines, it officially became a Bolgheri DOC Bianco with the 2019 harvest.

Intense aromas of white flowers, ripe fruit, citrus, and deeper notes from the wood, reminiscent of sweet spices and vanilla nuances.
A smooth, structured, and creamy flavor, supported by a refreshing freshness and a long, aromatic finish.

Ideal with shellfish, rich fish, rich risottos, delicate white meats, semi-mature cheeses, and flavorful Mediterranean dishes.
