In 1846, Filippo Mazzetti founded his first distillery in Montemagno, in the heart of Monferrato, and began carefully selecting what was initially considered a waste product from winemaking: pomace. It wasn't easy at the time to source the finest raw materials from winemakers scattered throughout the most remote areas of Monferrato, but the determination of Filippo, and then his son Luigi, gave rise to a company philosophy that has led to the production of some of the world's finest grappas. The pursuit of quality and the continuous refinement of distillation techniques are today the secrets to the success of a sixth-generation distillery, capable of sharing with the world the immense sensory heritage present in every Monferrato grape.

The 3.0 Grappa Barricata Mazzetti D'Altavilla is a refined Italian grappa, aged in wooden barrels for a smooth and enveloping flavor. Presented in an elegant case, it's perfect as a gift or for those seeking a signature spirit with an intense and harmonious character. Transparent with amber highlights, bright and inviting, the nose reveals notes of toasted wood, vanilla, and dried fruit. On the palate, it's smooth and rounded, with hints of honey, hazelnut, and sweet spices, and a warm and persistent finish. Ideal on its own as a digestif, or with dark chocolate, dry desserts, aged cheeses, or dried fruit.
