Barbera d'Alba

Prunotto is in Alba, the most important center of the Langhe, equidistant from Barbaresco and Barolo, on the right bank of the Tanaro river, on a smooth plain surrounded by the vineyards of the Langhe and Roero. It is immersed in a landscape that seduces for the naturalness of the hills that alternate with small sloping valleys in a round hillock rows. The vineyards of Prunotto stretch for a total of about 50 hectares, in the territory of the Langhe and Monferrato, divided into small plots and individual crus from which are great red wines and, in accordance with the traditions of Piedmont, also wines produced from white grapes such as Moscato d'Asti and Arneis, which are promoted through the two Barolo Bussia grappas and Barbera d'Asti Costamiole. Other native varieties such as Dolcetto d'Alba, Barbera d'Alba and Nebbiolo, Prunotto produces a line of wines that represents and tells the story of this land, expressing the best of the classic taste of Piedmontese grapes.

La Barebra D'alba Prunotto is a traditional Barbera of great freshness and drinkability produced with grapes from vineyards planted on clayey and sandy soils. After pressing and destemming, maceration takes place for about 5-7 days. After the malolactic fermentation which ends around December, the wine from the vineyards is blended and then refined in the bottle before being marketed.

La Barebra D'alba Prunotto has a ruby red color with violet reflections, vinous scents on the nose, red and pink fruit characterized by light sensations, to then become more mature and arrive at spices. On the palate it is broad and harmonious.
