Stefania Barbot is the winery born a few years ago from the desire of Stefania and her husband Erminio to live in harmony with nature in an uncontaminated and rich territory like Irpinia where with great courage and sacrifices they begin the first steps in this ambitious project. The vines cultivated at altitudes between 450 and 530 host vines that are even seventy years old in an area with a high wine vocation in the Taurasi DOCG area where the vines are "cared for" with love and dedication, as is done for a garden. The heart of the production can only be the Taurasi Fren (soul in ancient Greek) from grapes of old vines of over seventy years that give a rich and generous grape. With an aging of two years in large barrels, the Fren is a complex wine rich in scents and emotions only as a Taurasi DOCG can be.

Il Fren Stefania Barbot è un Taurasi DOCG da uve di Aglianico in purezza come da disciplinare da viti di oltre settant'anni coltivate a circa cinquecento metri di altitudine con allevamento a starseta, tipico del territorio. La vendemmia viene effettuata con grande cura per preservare integra la materia prima; le uve raccolte a mano e vengono conservate in piccole cassette di legno fino in cantina. Due anni in botti grandi di quercia e dodici mesi in acciaio e bottiglia completano l'opera in vigna.

The Stefania Barbot Fren Taurasi DOCG has a ruby red garnet with an intense and wide nose with aromas of cherry and plum accompanied by notes of tobacco, black pepper, licorice and hints of mint and incense. On the palate it is enveloping, structured with good softness and long persistence.
