The Isarco Valley is the northernmost wine region in Italy. In the vineyards at high altitude, suspended between impervious peaks, in the shadow of the edelweiss, the grape variety symbol of the valley, Riesling, matures. The soils are thin, stony, extremely mineral. The morainic deposits inherited from ice ages are rich in schists, quartz porphyry and gneiss. The roots of the vines, sometimes clinging to the living rock, have to work hard to find the mineral salts they need. The austere conditions of life also impose on men a sensible life, without waste, without excesses. At these heights, wine is truly a gift or even more, 'the song of the earth towards the sky'. Gaffer von Feldenreich's Riesling is a concentration of aromatic, polyphenolic and savory substances without equal.

To the eye the Sauvignon Gaffer von Feldenrich is of a deep straw color, with dense and regular arches. The large and elegant perfume ennobles the varietal vegetal notes, almonds with sweet notes of ripe fruit, almost withered and with the floral so concentrated as to turn the beeswax wax. The “terroir” is even more evident in the final hints of flint, slate and graphite. The palate, gratifying, is full, harmonious and of long persistence
