The name of the Rottensteiner family originates from the red stone typical of the South Tyrolean region, porphyry. It's here that Hans Rottensteiner 50 years ago fulfilled the dream of producing his wine. The winery was born in 1956 and since then has become a family affair, from generation to generation, continuing until today to use the fruits of the 10 hectares of family vineyards, and the grapes of over 60 farmers in the area. An authentic and passionate production, which takes into account the typical features of the individual varieties, in particular those typical of the Bolzano area such as Lagrein and Santa Maddalena.

Pinot Blanc Rottensteiner is grown in the hills well exposed to the sun on the estate, on sandy and clayey porphyry soils. The carefully selected grapes undergo fermentation at a controlled temperature of 20 ° C, and ripen with consequent caging in steel to preserve the fruity component in the best possible way. Ideal as an aperitif, it is perfect in combination with steamed fish.
