Tenute Navarra was born from the dream of Totò, whose roots have been in Sicily since 1951. After years of experience and hard work, in 2019 he realized his dream of enhancing his homeland by acquiring an estate in Butera, in the heart of Sicily. Together with his family, he pursues a vision that combines tradition and innovation, highlighting a unique terroir nestled between the sea and the hinterland, rich in history and identity.

Battichiè Riserva del Fondatore is a pure Nero d'Avola that expresses structure, elegance, and great potential for aging. Hailing from the hills of Butera, this wine is the result of careful red vinification with maceration on the skins and a lengthy aging period of 36 months: 12 in French oak barriques, 12 in stainless steel, and 12 in the bottle. The result is a complex and assertive red, capable of combining intensity and harmony at every stage of the tasting.

The nose opens with a rich and layered bouquet: notes of blackberry, black cherry, and ripe plum intertwine with floral hints of geranium and elegant nuances of cocoa, vanilla, licorice, and honey. On the palate, it is dry, soft, and fleshy, with a full and enveloping structure supported by ripe and well-polished tannins. The finish is long, persistent, and harmonious. Perfect paired with red meats, roasts, game, braised meats, and aged cheeses.
