Vermentino di Gallura

Returning from the great war, Loe came back in 1919 to Berchidda in the province of Olbia in his Sardinia and planted a vineyard in a place called in dialect "Sa Conca", crowning the dream of a life in the land where he grew up, mindful of indelible memories among the huge rocks dug by the wind. That love and passion gave birth to a wine that soon became popular for its fruity taste and bright color, Loe's Vermentino, who loved to drink in company and so it was for decades, passing on this ability to his children without never market it. It was in the 90s that the third and fourth generation sensed its potential, and started a process of expansion of the vineyards that finally consecrated  Loe's Vermentino as one of the most elegant and typical wines of Gallura.

Loe is a Vermentino whose freshness and minerality reflects the characteristics of the land of Gallura, made of granite sand, poor and with very low water retention. The harvest is manual at the end of September at the right time for the best sugar content, and then proceed with vinification with a 5-hour prefermentative maceration in the press. An excellent Vermentino, intriguing and particularly fine, perfect with oysters, fish tartare and sushi.
