Ribolla Gialla

The estate of the Spolert winery extends over 8 hectares in the municipality of Prepotto, a historic old town between the Natural Park of the Julian Prealps and the Riviera of the Upper Adriatic, an area with a high wine vocation included in the denomination Friuli Colli Orientali DOC. The ownership of the winery has recently changed while maintaining the philosophy behind wine production for more than 50 years: sustainability and respect for nature. The wines produced are of great quality, and can be tasted with pleasure after long periods of aging in cement, amphorae or barriques. The mission of the winery is the enhancement of native vines such as Schioppettino di Prepotto, Ribolla Gialla, Friulano and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso.

The Ribolla Gialla grapes are grown in the Prepotto vineyards and harvested in crates in the first ten days of September, to then be cooled and softly pressed. The must is statically cold decanted, then fermented in cement tanks at controlled temperature, part of which macerates on the skins for a few hours. The refinement lasts 10 months in cement tanks at controlled temperature, to then be marketed. Excellent with fish soup.
