Soave Classico

Founded in 2002, the family-run farm 'Le Battistelle' of Gelmino and Cristina Dal Bosco is located in Brognoligo, in the heart of the Soave Classico production area. Respectful of tradition and linked to its territory, it enhances traditional native vines and favors viticulture suited to obtaining quality to obtain typical and clearly recognizable wines, capable of positively surprising the taster. The vineyard area is 9 hectares divided into many vineyards of small extensions, but the most important wine area is Monte delle Battistelle, located in the area of ​​the Castellaro cru which gives its name to the winery. It is here that, between rocky slopes and steep hills, where the soil is of volcanic origin, the garganega matures and reveals its full potential, giving unique and unrepeatable wines elsewhere: a combination of structure and elegance wrapped in balanced acidity and marked minerality.

The Soave Classico Le Battistelle comes from extreme soils, due to slopes, for the hard work that its management requires and for the passion with which man has torn a piece of land from the volcanic rocks (with a basaltic-tufaceous structure and rich in micro -elements), where the grapes are grown on steep terraces with a simple pergola. The grapes are harvested manually towards the beginning of October. After the destemming follows a soft pressing with immediate cooling of the must and the start of fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature for about 20 days. The wine ages in steel tanks on its own fine lees for about 6-8 months with constant batonnage.

The Soave Classico Le Battistelle is a straw yellow wine. The nose is intense and complex, with hints of white flowers, citrus fruits and aromatic herbs. On the palate structured, balanced and savory, of fascinating evolution, with an important mineral note that refers to the volcanic matrix of the soil. Soft, long in the finish, with marked longevity and harmony.
