For generations, the Fuselli family has carried on the philosophy of Terre del Marchesato, a winery that authentically embodies the Bolgheri tradition. With Papeo, Maurizio wanted to celebrate a place from his childhood: Poggio Papeo, a hill between Bolgheri and Monteverdi where, as a boy, he accompanied his grandfather Emilio to collect firewood. This emotional bond has now translated into a wine that symbolizes their roots.

This new IGT Toscana is made from Merlot, Syrah, and a portion of Cabernet Franc, trained using the single spurred cordon method. The grapes ferment in stainless steel vats to preserve their vivacity and primary aromas. The wine is then aged for four months in French oak barrels, which smoothes the tannins without overshadowing the fruity character of the wine.

Intense ruby ​​red color, clear and textured in the glass, rich and immediate aromas, with notes of cherry, plum, and ripe red fruits; Spicy hints of cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg follow, with a sweet note of pastry and creamy vanilla. The flavor is warm, smooth, and well-structured, supported by balanced acidity and well-integrated tannins. The palate is full, harmonious, and persistent. Perfect with savory first courses such as pappardelle with white ragù, risotto alla Milanese, and amatriciana; also ideal with delicate game dishes (pheasant, hare).
