The Antinori family is unique in the world of winemaking, boasting an uninterrupted tradition in the production of excellent wines for over six hundred years. Since 1385, when Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri, the family has passed down from generation to generation a profound passion for viticulture, skillfully combining innovation and respect for tradition. Twenty-six generations have succeeded one another at the helm of this prestigious company, each making a fundamental contribution to its evolution and the consolidation of its international prestige. Direct management of the winemaking business has allowed Marchesi Antinori to pursue a long-term vision, characterized by courageous and far-sighted choices, always oriented towards the pursuit of the highest quality. Each vintage represents a new challenge, an opportunity to explore new territories and experiment with cutting-edge winemaking techniques. The selection of clones, the different altitudes of the vineyards, the methods of fermentation and refinement, the types of wood and the duration of aging are just some of the countless factors that influence the organoleptic profile of Antinori wines. A careful analysis of the terroir, combined with a deep knowledge of the native and international varieties, allows us to obtain unique and unmistakable wines, an authentic expression of the territory of origin. As emphasized by Marchese Piero Antinori, "the ancient roots play a fundamental role in our philosophy, but have never inhibited our innovative spirit". This synthesis perfectly expresses the Antinori family's approach to viticulture: a balance between tradition and modernity, between respect for the past and openness to the future. In recent decades, Marchesi Antinori have broadened their horizons, investing in new winemaking projects in various regions of the world. This strategic choice was dictated by the desire to enhance emerging terroirs and to offer consumers an increasingly rich and diversified winemaking experience. In conclusion, the history of Marchesi Antinori is an extraordinary example of how a passion passed down from generation to generation can transform into an excellence recognized at an international level. The constant commitment to the pursuit of quality, combined with a far-sighted vision and a deep knowledge of the territory, have made Antinori wines a point of reference for enthusiasts all over the world.

Guado al Tasso, produced by the prestigious Tenuta Guado al Tasso, owned by the Antinori family, represents an enological excellence of the Maremma Toscana. This red wine of great structure and complexity is born from a wise selection of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, grown in a terroir particularly suited to the production of high-quality red wines. The grapes, hand-picked at the right degree of ripeness, are vinified separately by variety. Subsequently, the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, in order to preserve the aromatic and fruity integrity. The refinement, of fundamental importance for the expression of the potential of this wine, takes place for about two years in French oak barriques, of first and second passage. This long period in wood allows the wine to acquire aromatic complexity, tannic structure and greater elegance.

To the eye, Guado al Tasso presents itself with an intense ruby red color, with garnet reflections. On the nose, the bouquet is broad and complex, characterized by intense notes of black berry fruit, such as blueberries and blackberries, enriched by nuances of small red fruits, sweet spices (vanilla, cinnamon), licorice, bitter cocoa and balsamic touches. On the palate, the attack is enveloping and silky, with powerful but well-integrated tannins, which give the wine a solid and persistent structure. The mouth is broad and persistent, with a perfect balance between fruit, spices and wood. The finish is long and persistent, with returns of red fruit and mineral notes. Guado al Tasso is a wine of great versatility, able to accompany important and complex dishes. It pairs perfectly with grilled or stewed red meats, game, mature cheeses and truffle-based dishes.
