Ruffino is an important Italian wine company founded in Pontassieve, near Florence, in 1877, made up of a production heart in Pontassieve and various estates in Tuscany, located at the center of the main denominations.

The Morellino di Scansano Rosso di Marte produced by Tenute Ruffino is a wine born in the rural and wild area of ​​southern Maremma Tuscany, the vineyards are located around Scansano, located on the hills overlooking the sea. The soil is predominantly clay-sandy, with a medium structure and a low calcareous level. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 150-200 meters above sea level. The grapes are harvested starting from the second half of September, thus favoring the complete maturation of the fruit. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks with a long maceration on the skins, followed by malolactic fermentation and another 9 months in steel tanks before being bottled.
