Poggio Alle Nane by Le Mortelle is an intense and raw wine, at sight it has a ruby ​​red color with violet reflections, on the nose the bouquet opens with hints of ripe fruit, in particular currants and blackberries, accompanied by coffee, paprika sweet and liquorice, there are also floral notes of lavender and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it is a wine with dense tannins.

Antinori is among the most important wine producers in the world. For over six hundred years, the Antinori winery has dedicated itself with passion and intuition to the production of fine wines. The 26 generations of the Marchesi Antinori have progressively assumed a prominent role in the history of Italian wine. They are responsible for the valorisation of the Sangiovese vine which has become an important protagonist of Italian viticulture. Furthermore, hand in hand with the establishment of the Antinori name in the international wine scene, the prestige of Tuscan wines has also spread around the world. Today the Antinori wineries have extended their production beyond Tuscany and Umbria: the choice of territories suited to wine growing in Italy and also abroad is the prelude to new experiments, with the constant aim of enhancing the territorial heritage. Continuous experimentation has always been accompanied by important successes for Marchesi Antinori. The cellar boasts an offering of some of the most internationally appreciated wines: Solaia, Tignanello, Pian delle Vigne and the refined interpretations of Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino.

Poggio Alle Nane from the Le Mortelle winery begins winemaking with the hand harvesting of the grapes in boxes, after harvesting the grapes are selected again on the sorting tables before destemming and soft pressing. The must is transferred into truncated cone-shaped stainless steel tanks, where alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 28°C and maceration, which lasted for approximately 20 days. The wine was transferred to barriques, where the malolactic fermentation and subsequent aging in French oak wood took place for 16 months.
