The origins of Tenute Ruffino date back to 1877, when the Tuscan cousins ​​Ilario and Leopoldo Ruffino discovered a real vocation regarding the magnificent world of wine production. From here, thanks also to their passion, they began to cultivate grapes to produce an ideal wine. Their project started in Pontassieve, a few kilometers from the magnificent Florence, which at the time, a few years earlier was the provisional capital of Italy. The first change of ownership took place in 1913, when the Folonari family took over the reins of the project. After going through the difficult war years, Ruffino wine took the road to America, where it was appreciated to the point that it was even sold in pharmacies to overcome the barriers of prohibition.

Aqua di Venus is a project aimed at making the most of the expressive aspect of Tuscany, and more precisely, that strip of territory which is located towards the southern coast of the region, the Maremma.

This type of wine goes through a refined manufacturing process, the separate vinification of each variety, is characterized by immediate pressing after harvesting, performed with extreme delicacy in search of the integrity of the fruit. The flower must ferments in steel at a controlled temperature in order to preserve its precious aromatic content.

The Chardonnay Aqua di Venus, produced by Tenute Ruffino is a wine that has a straw yellow color to the eye, with reflections tending towards crystalline, the nose is extremely aromatic, its minerality stands out, accompanied by a succession of scents reminiscent of medicinal herbs , with slight nuances of tropical notes. In the mouth it is deliciously salty with sensations of ripe citrus and yellow fruits, ending with a long and remarkably vigorous finish.
