Rosso di Montalcino

Gorelli is a winery created only in 2017 but the founder is a character with great experience in the world of wine, who wanted to go beyond consulting and touch even more closely the life of the winery in all its aspects. The dimensions are really small, only 4 hectares of vineyards and 2 of breeding but in an area where Sangiovese is able to give its best. Gorelli personally takes care of the management of the vineyards, the harvesting and subsequent vinification using traditional methods and spontaneous fermentations.

Rosso di Montalcino Gorelli is produced from pure Sangiovese grapes as per specification from grapes grown on clayey and medium-textured soil. All the operations in the vineyard are carried out manually and with the careful supervision of Giueseppe Gorelli. The grapes ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts partly in wooden vats / barrels and partly in steel containers. The refinement takes place mostly in large 50-hectolitre barrels for about 9 months.

Rosso di Montalcino Gorelli has a deep ruby red with hints of ripe red fruit and balsamic and undergrowth notes. On the palate it is fresh and full with a lively tannin that keeps the taste balanced.
