Luce della Vite 2018 is the result of an excellent vintage, fresh spring, the right amount of rain and humidity, hot summer ventilated by gentle breezes. The color is an intense, deep ruby red. On the nose, hints of red fruit prevail, and a slight note of incense and spices that characterize its complexity. In the mouth you can appreciate the elegance of tannins, structure and balance.

The history of Tenuta Luce is linked to the meeting in the 90s of two great personalities of Tuscan viticulture, Vittorio Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi, with the intention of giving life to a wine in Montalcino vineyards that went beyond tradition, while respecting it. The first label was called Luce della Vite, in honor of the light of those hills that illuminates and regenerates everything. Since then, Tenuta Luce has grown and has been able to create other extraordinary wines, garnering international attention and appreciation. Today, 25 years after that meeting, the winery is led by Lamberto Frescobaldi, Vittorio's son, who in the name of the great family tradition has been able to enhance that respect and deep bond with the territory, which we find in the iconographic study behind the same mark, a sun rayed with twelve flames inspired by the altar of Santo Spirito in Florence.

Luce della Vite is a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot grapes harvested respectively at the end and at the beginning of September in the luxuriant vineyards of Montalcino. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C for 12 days, after which the wine macerates on the skins for 4 weeks and undergoes malolactic fermentation in oak barriques, where it ages for 24 months. An excellent red to be enjoyed with a good meat dish or aged cheese.
