In a unique and inimitable terroir, at 400 m. above sea level, in the heart of Sicily, are the 75 hectares of vineyards owned by the Milazzo family, where the climatic characteristics of the hill and the morphology of the land combine with the beneficial influences of a typically Mediterranean climate, with mild summers and mild winters; a constant and light breeze, which favors the day-night temperature range and good ventilation of the plant. A territory characterized by a particular concentration of morphologically varied soils: from dark clays integrated by organic matter to white calcareous ones; some endowed with a constant and homogeneous fertility, the others ideal for guaranteeing rich and complex aromatic profiles to the wines. With a history that spans five generations and continues in the name of the enhancement of the company tradition, thanks to the commitment of Giuseppina Milazzo and Saverio Lo Leggio, united in the desire to give continuity to the virtuous evolution of the family business, the most interesting aspect of the way of "making wine" is represented by tireless work in the vineyard. The natural improvement of the vines is the result of a technical path that has been going on for over fifty years, which made them the first producers of sparkling wines with the classic method in the land of Sicily, and the first Sicilian winemakers, between the end of the seventies and the beginning of the eighties, to enhance the vinification from Sicilian indigenous vines. Organic and sustainable. The BIO certification seals the commitment they have always put in place as winegrowers to produce quality and is also testimony to the responsibility they feel they are guardians of the environment in which they operate, with the specific intent of producing a great Sicilian Classic Method sparkling wine.

The Fancello Rosso G.Milazzo is a captivating, fresh and original red. The grapes, grown with the Guyot training system, were harvested from Munti and Milici vineyards over 15 years old, on a soil for the Munti with organic and rather deep clay soil while for the Milici a plateau of marly origin with a high clay component strongly calcareous rich in skeleton, in September, manually, in boxes of 14 kg. The grapes are gently de-stemmed and after a cold pre-fermentation maceration of 24 / 48h they are fermented in vertical steel vats for about 1 week with daily pumping over in the air in order to optimize the extraction of colors and aromas from the skins. It follows the maturation of about 12 months in steel and the final refinement in the bottle.

The Fancello Rosso G.Milazzo has a beautiful dark purple red with purple reflections. Intense fruity nose of morello cherry, cherry and plum, evident spicy and ink notes. On the palate it is soft and velvety, very drinkable. Sapid, intense, balanced.
