The water used in production comes from the pure springs of Loch Nam Burn, a lake located in the immediate vicinity. Caol Ila whisky is known for its complex and balanced aromatic profile. Peaty notes are present, but not dominant, and are accompanied by floral, fruity and spicy nuances. The minerality and salinity are typical of Islay whiskies, giving Caol Ila a unique freshness and depth. Wilson & Morgan Single Malt Whisky 10 Years Caol Ila is a particularly intriguing and complex expression of the distinctive character of the island of Islay. This single malt, the result of meticulous selection and careful maturation, offers a rich and multi-faceted aromatic profile, capable of satisfying even the most demanding palates. Aged for 10 years in ex-bourbon oak casks, this single malt has developed an aromatic complexity and a softness on the palate that make it particularly enjoyable. The peat is intense and characteristic, but well integrated into the aromatic profile, without overwhelming the other notes. The balance between the sweet, smoky and spicy notes is what makes this whisky so fascinating and memorable. Bottled at 48%, this single malt offers an intense and concentrated tasting experience.

Deep golden color, with amber reflections that suggest a balanced aging in oak casks. The nose is immediately captured by an intense note of sea peat, smoky and iodine, typical of Islay whiskies. This is accompanied by hints of dried fruit, vanilla, salted caramel and spices such as black pepper and clove. A touch of wood smoke and ash adds depth and complexity to the aromatic profile. On the palate the attack is decisive and enveloping, with a marked presence of peat that blends harmoniously with notes of ripe fruit, such as plums and quinces. The sweetness of caramel and vanilla balances with the saltiness of sea salt and the spiciness of spices, creating a compelling and persistent taste experience. The finish is long and persistent, with a return of peaty and smoky notes, accompanied by hints of spicy wood and dark chocolate. It pairs perfectly with grilled meat dishes, mature cheeses, dark chocolate and cigars. It can be enjoyed neat, with the addition of a few drops of water to further open the aromas, or in combination with a drop of natural mineral water.
