Malvazija Malvasia

Founded in 1990, the Skerk estate is a young and continuously growing company thanks to the quality of its products. The 6 hectares of property, located in Prepotto on the Karst Plateau, enjoy a perfect climate and terroir for the cultivation of Vitovska, Istrian Malvasia, Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio and Teran vines, which in fact manage to express themselves at excellent levels. The company's philosophy includes an entirely natural and organic approach, complete with certification to prove it, for which any chemical treatment is strictly prohibited. The cellar itself is a simple cave dug into the karst rock where the wines, never clarified or filtered, undergo maceration and vinification. Sandi Skerk, owner of the company, has succeeded in producing unique wines with a typical Friulian imprint, now highly appreciated by the public and critics both inside and outside the Italian borders.

Malvazija Malvasia comes from the Skerk winery and comes from Malvasia grapes, the harvest takes place during the first ten days of September. Following a careful selection of the bunches and soft crushing and destemming, fermentation takes place in steel tanks for 10-12 days at a temperature of 16°C. Approximately 20% of the mass ages in French oak barrels for approximately 8 months. Subsequently the assembly takes place and then a long refinement in the bottle.

Malvazija Malvasia comes from the Skerk winery, has a straw yellow color, the aromas are fruity with prevailing floral notes, the taste is fresh and broad with a sweet and fruity aftertaste.
