The Bortolotti winery is a historic reality in the Valdobbiadene area, with a long tradition in the production of high-quality Prosecco. The Montagnole vineyard is a historic cru that is more than 70 years old, and this gives the wine a particular complexity. The altitude of the vineyard is between 245 and 260 meters above sea level, and the training system is double inverted.
The Vigna Montagnole by Bortolotti is a Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Rive di Santo Stefano Extra Brut, a sparkling wine that represents the excellence of the Bortolotti winery's production. This wine stands out for its denomination, which emphasizes the origin of the grapes coming from a particularly suited area and recognized for the superior quality of its wines. It is produced 100% with Glera grapes, the native vine that gives the wine its distinctive aromatic and taste characteristics. The Extra Brut typology indicates a very low sugar residue, enhancing the freshness and minerality of the wine. The grapes come from the "Riva di Santo Stefano" and the "Montagnole" vineyard, a historic cru of the winery, characterized by a unique terroir. The "Montagnole" vineyard is located in a hilly area with moraine soils, rich in marl and limestone, which give the wine a marked minerality and complexity. The vinification follows the Charmat method, with a second fermentation in an autoclave that preserves the varietal aromas and freshness of the wine. The wine ages on the yeasts for a variable period, acquiring greater complexity and structure.
Bortolotti's Vigna Montagnole has a bright straw yellow color, characterized by a fine and persistent perlage, on the nose, intense and delicate aromas are perceived, with notes of green apple, pear, white flowers and mineral hints. In the mouth, it is fresh, savory and harmonious, with a pleasant acidity and a long aromatic persistence. Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs perfectly with seafood, shellfish, light appetizers and fish-based dishes, but it is also excellent with fresh cheeses and Mediterranean cuisine.
