Pomerol

Pomerol is one of the smallest appellations in the entire Girondin area. Unlike the left bank, there are no large properties here. There is no classification in Pomerol as in Medoc and St. Emilion, here the ranking is dictated by the success that a wine achieves with the final consumer. Owned by the very active Castéja family for over 50 years, it enjoys an extraordinary location, the vineyard is located exactly halfway between Pétrus and La Croix De Gay, combining the best qualities of the surrounding terroir.

The deep aromatic richness takes a few years before it can be fully expressed. Black currant and ripe plum aromas with hints of vanilla, smoke and cedar. Aromas of berries with licorice and earthy notes follow through to the long, juicy, balanced finish with firm tannins.
