Domaine de L'Eglise has a vineyard area of about 7 hectares with vineyards with an average age of 40 years. The profound aromatic richness requires a few years before being able to fully express itself. Recently it has been included in the list of wines present at the Elysée.
Pomerol is one of the smallest appellations in the whole Girondina area. Unlike the left bank, there are no great properties here. There is no classification in Pomerol as in the Medoc and in St. Emilion, here the ranking is dictated by the success that a wine obtains from the final consumer. Owned by the very active Castéja family for over 50 years, it enjoys an extraordinary location, the vineyard is exactly halfway between Pétrus and La Croix De Gay, bringing together the best qualities of the surrounding terroir.
Black currant and ripe plum aromas with hints of vanilla bean, smoke and cedar. Wild berry flavors with licorice and earthy notes follow through in the long, juicy, finish balanced with firm tannins.
