Bas-Armagnac Yvan Auban Rècolte 1979

The Yvan Auban distillery is located in the heart of the Bas-Armagnac in the village of Estang in south-eastern France, where an excellent distillate is produced by virtue of the great wisdom in the art of distillation and a sandy soil, poor in limestone and rich in marine sediments. The grapes grown are mostly Ugni Blanc, together with Folle Blanche and Colombard. It's here that ancient stories are kept in unique bottles, which every connoisseur yearns to have in his own cellar.

This Bas-Armagnac is obtained from grapes harvested in 1979, a millesimè appreciable for the great variety of spicy notes and hints of burnt wood. The bouquet is full of aromas, from cinnamon, to cumin, to cloves. In the mouth a world of fruity notes opens up, from citrus fruits to plums, to hints of juicy grapes. Long finish with hints of tobacco. A glass of Bas-Armagnac like this awakens the senses and envelops the palate with silk.
