Valentino

La Scolca is one of Piedmont's iconic wineries and a global ambassador for Gavi. For generations, it has interpreted the Cortese grape with an elegant, innovative, and recognizable style, showcasing the terroir through wines of great personality, precision, and longevity, an expression of Italian winemaking excellence.

Valentino is a Gavi D.O.C.G. made from 100% Cortese grapes from the estate's youngest vineyards. Dedicated to Valentino Sartore, the General of the Kingdom of Savoy, it expresses the freshest and most dynamic side of Gavi. Vinified using the traditional method and controlled temperature, it is a dry white wine that captivates with its fragrance, balanced flavors, and natural drinkability.

Light straw yellow in color, it offers fine and fresh aromas on the nose with elegant notes of almond and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is dry, delicate, and well-structured, with a pleasant aromatic finish reminiscent of peach, mango, green apple, citrus, and pear. Perfect as an aperitif, it pairs beautifully with vegetable dishes, light appetizers, and fresh and delicate cheeses, making it ideal throughout a meal.
