Coppo Metodo Classico Brut

The origins of the Coppo company date back to 1892, which with great passion and dedication has been involved in the production of quality sparkling wines for over 120 years. In fact, the Luigi Coppo company is still exclusively family-run and thanks to its ability to manage the vineyards, since its origins it has become one of the oldest wineries in Italy, so much so that in 2012 Unioncamere included the company in the national register of historical companies with more than a century of uninterrupted activity.

Monteriolo Coppo is a wine produced from Chardonnay grapes that have origins that go back in time, when Filippo Asinari the then Count of San Marzano and Costigliole in the first half of the nineteenth century port of chardonnay cuttings from the Montrachet area to put them at home in Castigliole. The grapes are produced from vines grown on a clayey-calcareous marl soil with a prevalence of silt with an altitude of 200m a.s.l. After a careful harvest in order to preserve the fruit, the grapes are softly pressed. Fermentation takes place in barrique with a partially carried out malolactic.

Monteriolo Coppo has a bright straw yellow color and notes of exotic fruit and vegetal notes of green pepper stand out on the nose.
