Versus Incrocio Bruni 54

Vignamato is a historic winery in San Paolo di Jesi, in the heart of the Marche region, founded in the 1940s by the Ceci family. Today, through three generations, the winery continues to promote the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi terroir with a production that respects tradition, organic farming, and the authentic expression of the Verdicchio grape.

Versus is an IGT Marche Bianco made from Incrocio Bruni 54, a rare varietal created in 1936 by ampelographer Bruno Bruni through a cross between Verdicchio and Sauvignon Blanc. This wine perfectly expresses the distinctive characteristics of the two varietals: floral and fruity aromas on the one hand, and structure and persistence on the other. Vinified in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, it offers an elegant, fresh, and persistent palate.

In the glass, it displays a bright straw yellow color with golden highlights. On the nose, aromas of green apple, citrus, white fruit, and light herbaceous and floral nuances emerge. On the palate, it is fresh, savory, harmonious, and well-balanced, with a pleasant mineral finish. Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs beautifully with seafood appetizers, fish salads, shellfish, seafood pasta dishes, sushi, grilled vegetables, and delicate fish-based dishes.
