Bollinger is synonymous with excellence in the world of Champagne, for its long history full of great labels that still conquer the palate of sparkling wine lovers all over the world. It was founded in Ay in 1829, near Epernay on the slopes of the Reims Mountains by Hennequin de Villermont, Paul Renaudin and Jacques Bollinger. After 5 generations leaded by the Bollinger dynasty, in 2008 the property passed into the hands of Jérôme Philipon, who invested new resources on the glorious brand respecting its tradition. Unlike the vast majority of champagne housess, Bollinger directly uses grapes grown in his own vineyards, among which the Pinot Noir variety is the most cultivated of the three, together with Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. 85% of the vineyards are certified as Grand Cru, while the tunnels of the underground cellars of Bollinger wind their way for kilometers in the living stone, producing and storing champagne according to the dictates of tradition that bring the Maison to the top of world production.
The result of a singular year marked by snow, frost and a harvest
late, this vintage Blanc de Noir champagne embodies the excellence of
Bollinger vineyards "de la Montagne de Reims". A crystalline and chiseled wine with notes of citrus and candied lemon. A tribute to the Maison's oenological and environmental values. A purity without concessions. B13 Bollinger champagne is produced with grapes from the Reims mountains and exclusively Pinot Noir grapes of which 92% Grand Cru and 8% Premier Cru. With a stay of about 7 years on the lees, B13 Bollinger champagne has a yellow with golden reflections with a rich and complex nose. On opening, notes of ripe fruit, fruit jellies and almond paste are complemented by aromas of mirabelle plum and vine peach. On the palate, the elegance of the fruit is associated with its gluttony: flavors of pear, fresh almonds and tarte Tatin are distinguished by the uniqueness of a chiseled and mineral Pinot Noir with notes of citrus and candied lemon. A velvety persistence in the mouth with a salty note in the finish.
