In 1846, Filippo Mazzetti founded his first distillery in Montemagno, in the heart of Monferrato, and began carefully selecting what was initially considered a waste product from winemaking: pomace. It wasn't easy at the time to source the finest raw materials from winemakers scattered throughout the most remote areas of Monferrato, but the determination of Filippo, and then his son Luigi, gave rise to a corporate philosophy that has led to the production of some of the world's finest grappas. The pursuit of quality and the continuous refinement of distillation techniques are today the secrets to the success of a sixth-generation distillery, capable of sharing with the world the immense sensory heritage present in every Monferrato grape.

Mazzetti Black Edition Gin is an Italian London Dry with an intense and spicy character, created from a selection of prized botanicals such as juniper, cardamom, mountain pine, and black pepper. More robust and structured thanks to its 46% ABV, it is presented in an elegant cylinder, perfect as a gift or premium offering. Crystalline and clear, of great purity, with a strong aroma of juniper, mountain pine, and aromatic spices, a full and enveloping flavor, with balsamic accents and a dry, lingering finish. Ideal on its own, with premium tonic for a structured Gin and Tonic, or in classic cocktails like a Dry Martini or Negroni. Perfect with raw fish, shellfish, and intensely flavored dishes.
