Pecorino by Fazi Battaglia is a straw yellow colored wine with an intense bouquet of green apple enriched with herbaceous notes. In the mouth it is fresh, savory and crunchy with a decidedly mineral finish.
Fazi Battaglia was born in 1949 from the union of the Fazi and Battaglia families in the town of Cupramontana in the Marche region. A few years later it was acquired by Francesco Angelini, founder of the pharmaceutical industry of the same name and former mayor of Ancona, who gave a great impetus to the development of the winery both in terms of quality and innovation of production processes. Icon of this profound change is the bottle of Verdicchio in the shape of an amphora to distinguish and launch a wine that was then little known, an operation that was so successful that it strongly identified not only the Marche region through its native vine, but also that Made in Italy, so in vogue in those years as lifestyle. Today the Fazi Battaglia company with its 130 hectares of vineyards continues to represent the Marche winemaking tradition in the world.
Pecorino by Fazi Battaglia is produced on the sunny hills of Marche region. Pecorino grapes are carefully selected and harvested by hand, and then undergo cold maceration and soft pressing. Fermentation takes place in steel at controlled temperatures of 14-16 ° C, after which the wine is refined for 4 months on the fine lees, hence the typical flavor that strongly characterizes it.
