Grosso is the Lambrusco di Modena Classic Method of the Paltrinieri Winery. A sparkling wine with a pink color and fine and persistent perlage, with a bouquet perfumed with violet and notes of citrus, peach nut and wild strawberries. On the palate it is fresh and savory, with aromas of small red berry fruits. Perfect with appetizers, river and lake fish, as well as cold cuts, ham and fries.
Alberto Paltrinieri today manages with his wife Barbara the winery that was owned by his grandfather Achille, who founded it in 1926, and then expanded by his father Gianfranco. Here in the heart of Sorbara, in the province of Modena, Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC has always been produced, and it was Alberto, when he took over the leadership of the winery in 1998, to bet on the first pure Sorbara. The vineyards extend for 17 hectares in the historic area of Cristo di Sorbara, a piece of land between the rivers Panaro and Secchia, where technological innovation and tradition go hand in hand since time immemorial in the sign of Lambrusco.
Grosso is the Lambrusco di Modena obtained from Sorbara grapes vinified in purity, grown in the Cristro di Sorbara vineyard, a strip of land among the most suitable for the production of this variety. The must is vinified in white and fermented in the bottle according to the classic method. It rests on the lees for 24 months and ages in bottle for a further 6 months before being marketed. A fresh and extremely pleasant quality sparkling wine of above average rank.
