The Yamazaki Single Malt 12 years, produced by the historic Suntory distillery, represents a point of reference in the panorama of Japanese whiskies. This distillate, aged for twelve years in Japanese, American and Spanish oak barrels, offers a complex and refined sensory experience, the result of a careful selection of raw materials and a rigorous production process. The long aging in different types of barrels gives Yamazaki 12 years a unique aromatic complexity, characterized by a perfect balance between fruity, floral and spicy notes. The Yamazaki distillery uses particularly pure spring water, sourced from the surrounding mountains, which helps define the organoleptic profile of the whisky. Yamazaki is a strongly malted whisky, characterized by a rich and full-bodied taste, with notes of toasted cereals and caramel.

Intense golden color, with amber reflections that reveal the long maturation in wood. A broad and complex bouquet, characterized by delicate floral notes, such as jasmine and magnolia, which blend with fruity hints of white peach, pear and citrus. You can also perceive spicy nuances of cinnamon and ginger, and sweeter touches of vanilla and honey. The attack is soft and enveloping, with an initial sweetness that leaves room for spicy and woody notes. The same aromatic nuances perceived on the nose are found on the palate, with the addition of hints of dried fruit, such as almonds and hazelnuts. The finish is long and persistent, with a pleasant aftertaste of toasted wood and spices. The Yamazaki 12 years is an extremely versatile whisky, which lends itself to different tasting methods. It can be enjoyed neat, with the addition of a drop of water to enhance its aromas, or in combination with delicate dishes, such as sushi, sashimi or soft cheeses.
