Fior d’Arancio is the sparkling wine of controlled origin from the Euganean Hills. With hints of citrus and aromatic scent, this yellow Moscato expresses in its fragrance the qualities of its grape variety and the gentle slopes of the La Montecchia hill, on which it originates.
The Fior d’Arancio sparkling wine is a DOCG yellow Moscato from the La Montecchia company, belonging to the Emo Capodilista family since the Middle Ages. The estate extends over the homonymous hill, La Montecchia, in the heart of the Euganean Hills DOC. The Emo family distinguished itself for having founded, with others, the Serenissima Republic of Venice: Angelo Emo, the last great admiral of the Republic, forced the Bey of Tunis to surrender in 1785, bombarding Sfax and Goletta with the great invention of floating rafts.
The company properties are located in two locations: the historic vineyards are in Selvazzano, while the Monte Castello estate is in Baone and is managed by Count Giordano Emo Capolista. They fall within the Colle Euganei denomination. The territory and the climate, favorable to the cultivation of vines, are the pillars of the company; in La Montecchia, the use of chemicals is abolished in favor of clean energy in the cellar.
The result of this eco-sustainable philosophy is in the wines.
Fior d’Arancio has a pale yellow color with greenish reflections; it has an intense aromatic aroma, with immediate hints of orange and lemon; it has a fine and velvety perlage and a sweet, harmonious and persistent taste.
