Vin Santo Del Chianti

The I Veroni farm is located in the heart of Chianti. Founded in 1500 by the Gatteschi family who equipped the estate with the equipment to make wine, now the company has been run by the Malesci family since 1800. I Veroni is distinguished by the care of the vineyards that produce mainly native organic grapes. The yeasts used are indigenous, always to respect the territory and to produce wines that have roots that go back to the past.

The Vin Santo del Chianti Rùfina Occhio di Pernice I Veroni is produced from 60% Sangiovese, 20% Canaiolo, 20% Tuscan Malvasia grapes grown in a small vineyard located in le "Fornace", a locality in the Chianti Rùfina area. After drying on the racks, the grapes undergo a soft pressing. The must decants and ages for 7 years in chestnut barrels and then refines for about 12/14 months in glass.

The Vin Santo del Chianti Rùfina Occhio di Pernice I Veroni is a wine with an intense amber color with a complex nose rich in aromas including honey, almond, resin, walnuts, chestnut. On the palate it is rich, creamy and full-bodied with a long persistence.
