Cantine del Notaio was founded in 1988 in the heart of the Vulture by Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti, passionate about viticulture and thanks to the experience gained in the academic agricultural world, he decides to enhance Aglianico by carrying out studies on the potential of
this extraordinary vine with the help of Professor Luigi Moio. Great is the attention and respect for the vines using organic and biodynamic farming methods to preserve what the fruit can give to the wine. The winery located in Rionero in Vulture is a combination of innovation and tradition with the perfect aging caves for the aging of wine in barrels and barriques thanks to a unique microclimate for humidity and ventilation.

The harvest is manual in boxes in the first ten days of November when the fruit is fully ripe. The maceration of about 20 days being able to extract more having a perfect ripening of the tannins. It is then left to mature in natural volcanic tuff caves, in French oak barrels or barrels, for a period of at least 12 months and another 12 in the bottle.

At the sight it shows a ruby red with lively purple reflections, bright and impenetrable
with a complex nose characterized by aromas of small black berried fruits in onfecture,
licorice, fenugreek and carob on a spicy background. On the palate it is powerful and harmonious, characterized by velvety tannins and a long and pleasantly balsamic finish.
