The San Marzano cellars represent a significant reality in Apulian viticulture, contributing to the affirmation of local wines on the national and international market. It all began in 1962, when 19 winemakers met to share resources and experiences to meet the challenge of the world of wine, which was then constantly evolving. Today the cooperative has 1200 members and 1500 hectares of vineyards in the Taranto and Salento hinterland. The wines it produces testify to the great respect for its land and its traditions, but with an eye always turned forward in knowing how to interpret technological development always in favor of the best sustainable quality. The attention towards the protection and valorisation of the old sapling vineyards has directed production largely towards Primitivo and Negroamaro, without neglecting other Apulian vines such as Malvasia Nera del Salento, Verdeca or the same international Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot grapes which they have adapted well in Puglia.

Pollen Moscato Passito Salento PGI produced by Cantine San Marzano in Manduria, and obtained from Moscato grapes, approximately 130 m above sea level. The area is characterized by high thermal sums and medium-low rainfall. The soil is of medium clay texture, shallow and with good presence of skeleton. The grapes are grown with the espalier system, 80% of the mass is aged in steel silos, the remaining 20% ​​in French oak barrels for 4 months.

Pollen Moscato Passito Salento PGI produced by Cantine San Marzano in Manduria is a straw yellow wine with golden nuances, on the nose it presents a delicate freshness of white flowers and is sweetened by ripe peach and apricot surrounded by a vanilla note. The taste is sweet and fragrant.
