Plantation Panama

The Plantation collection was born from the passion for Rum and Cognac of the French entrepreneur Alexandre Gabriel, who in 1989 came across Maison Ferrand, a prestigious company of spirits and liqueurs. From this happy meeting the opportunity arises to intercept the best plantations and the best Caribbean rums, products for personal use or to raise the quality of other assemblies, creating an ad hoc line of vintage Rums with unique characteristics and expression of excellence in the art of this distillate. The Rum Plantation are aged in the Caribbean, exposed to the typical hot and humid climate, to then be brought to France where they are carefully refined to enhance elegance and personality. Today Alexandre Gabriel is the owner and president of Maison Ferrand and continues to experiment with Gin, Cognac and Rum with unique and inimitable flavors.

Plantation Panama is a traditional Rum made from sugar cane molasses, distilled in a column alembic in 2004 in the Panamanian distillery Alcoholes Del Istmo, and then left to rest for 11 years in ex bourbon barrels. After this first phase of aging, it's then ready to be shipped to France where it ages in cask for another 2/4 years. An excellent ideal meditation rum to be enjoyed together with a good cigar.
