Founded in 1953, the company has progressively evolved its production philosophy, orienting itself towards the creation of high-quality wines, authentic expressions of the pedoclimatic peculiarities of the region. The winery is located in the heart of the province of Pescara, in an area characterized by significant altimetric variability and a heterogeneous geological composition. The vineyards extend over hills that benefit from a temperate microclimate, with significant temperature variations between day and night, a crucial factor for the synthesis of complex aromatic compounds and for maintaining a balanced acidity in the grapes. The soils have a predominantly clayey-calcareous matrix, with variable fractions of sand and skeleton, giving the wines structure, minerality and longevity. The production philosophy of Cantina Marramiero is oriented towards the creation of wines that are an authentic expression of the Abruzzo region, with particular attention to enhancing the peculiarities of the individual crus and the different vintages. The primary objective is to produce high-quality wines, with personality, elegance and longevity, capable of competing with the excellence of the national and international wine scene. Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC ANIMA from Cantina Marramiero represents one of the most refined and high-end expressions of this native Abruzzo grape variety, demonstrating the company's commitment to producing white wines of remarkable complexity, elegance and longevity. This wine is the result of a rigorous selection of grapes and a meticulous winemaking process, aimed at enhancing the peculiarities of the terroir and the expressive potential of Trebbiano d'Abruzzo. ANIMA is a single-varietal wine, obtained exclusively from Trebbiano d'Abruzzo grapes from specific vineyards owned by the winery, carefully selected for their optimal soil and climate characteristics. These vineyards are typically located in hilly areas with ideal exposures, altitudes that favor a significant temperature range (crucial for the development of complex aromas and the maintenance of balanced acidity) and a predominantly clayey-calcareous soil composition, which gives minerality, structure and aging potential to the wine. The agronomic practices adopted are based on sustainability and the pursuit of the highest quality of grapes, with particular attention to controlling yields per hectare, foliage management and the health of the bunches. The harvest is strictly manual, with a careful selection of the grapes that reach full technological and phenolic ripeness, ensuring the integrity of the berries and the concentration of aromatic precursors. The winemaking process of ANIMA is conducted with a precision oenological approach, aimed at preserving the delicacy and complexity of Trebbiano d'Abruzzo. The grapes, after a soft pressing and a possible cold skin maceration (cryomaceration) to favor the extraction of aromatic compounds, are subjected to a delicate pressing to obtain a high-quality free-run must. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (generally between 16 and 18 ° C) to preserve the finesse of the primary and secondary aromas. A significant portion of the must ferments and/or ages in first and second passage French oak barrels of different capacities (barriques and tonneaux), with careful control of the toasting, in order to provide structural complexity, elegant tertiary notes and greater roundness without overpowering the varietal characteristics. Malolactic fermentation is generally not carried out in order to preserve the vibrant acidity and freshness typical of Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, distinctive elements of this wine. ANIMA is a Trebbiano d'Abruzzo with considerable aging potential, generally between 5 and 10 years or even more, depending on the vintage and storage conditions. During this period, the wine evolves, developing greater aromatic complexity, with the emergence of notes of honey, dried fruit and hydrocarbons, while maintaining a surprising freshness and a distinctive mineral structure.

Intense straw yellow color with golden reflections, testimony to its richness, structure and evolutionary potential. On the nose it presents a complex and layered bouquet, characterized by notes of ripe white pulp fruit (peach, melon), candied citrus fruits, white flowers (broom, chamomile), aromatic herbs (thyme, sage) and a marked minerality (flint, brackish). The aging in wood brings elegant notes of hazelnut, almond and a subtle spiciness. The intensity, finesse and olfactory persistence are remarkable. On the palate, ANIMA reveals an elegant and complex structure, with a vibrant and well-integrated acidity that gives freshness and drinkability. The body is full and enveloping, with a mineral flavor that defines its persistence and depth. The fruity and mineral notes perceived on the nose are found again, enriched by toasted nuances and a pleasant tertiary complexity. The finish is long, clean and characterized by a remarkable harmony and a mineral and citrus aftertaste. Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC ANIMA from Cantina Marramiero pairs excellently with elaborate fish appetizers, rich seafood-based first courses, noble fish and elaborate white meat second courses, as well as delicate aged cheeses. In general, it pairs well with complex but not excessively heavy dishes, where its structure and acidity can balance refined flavors.
