For three generations the Carlotto family has dedicated itself with love and passion to the wine world, first Umberto Carlotto as a sharecropper in the Schloβhof company in Mazzon, at Castel Caldiff where for 50 years he cultivated the vineyards, owned by his brother and son Ferruccio of the Praxmarer family. The turning point came in 2000 when Ferruccio Carlotto, together with his daughter Michela, began to vinify the grapes produced on their own with faithful and precise application of good country and cellar practices handed down over the years, in order to keep the characteristics of the place intact in the wine. 'origin. The company philosophy is "to cultivate the right vine in the right place" and create value to be transmitted.

The lagrein grapes are grown on alluvial soil, the dejection conoid of the Rio Nero. The soil originates in part from the porphyritic formations around Ora, but mainly from the limestone formations above the Mesozoic age. Soils rich in skeleton, loose.

The fermentation and maceration processes take place for a period of about ten days, during which pumping over and punching down are carried out daily. The malolactic fermentation takes place in steel. Subsequently the wine matures and is refined for twelve months in large barrels and barriques. This is followed by assembly in steel for two / three months
before bottling. The wine remains to mature for six months in the cellar before being
marketed.
