Scapa Skiren

The Scapa distillery now owned by Pernot Ricard, was founded in 1885 on the outskirts of the city of Kirkwall by Macfarlane and Towsend. The only distillery in Scotland to still be equipped with an ancient wash still Lomond, that is, a copper alembic that has the typical characteristics of discontinuous distillation while maintaining the specifications of the column stills. A craft distillery that keeps a centuries-old tradition alive.

The Orcadian Skiren is a Single Malt Scotch Whiskey that differs from those produced in the Scottish islands, in the manufacturing process that does not use peat to create malt from barley, making prevail a purer fruit taste, pleasantly sweet unique in its kind.
